North American F-86A Sabre 49-1049 29 September 1951
This airplane was being ferried from Long Beach, CA, to Albuquerque, NM when the pilot overshot his destination and ran out of fuel in the Oklahoma Panhandle. The pilot tried to eject, but he was too low and was killed when his seat hit the ground.
