Anyone know the best way to find photos of specific serialed
military aircraft (when they were still in one piece that is)? (besides
google and yahoo of course) Sometimes I like to have a photo of the
plane I'm huntin' for, you know?
I tried the Air Force image branch, no luck. I tried National Archives
on a specific F-104 -- they sent me two generic F-104 photo samples
(not my plane) and suggested I hire a researcher to hit their stacks
($40 an hour I think it was).
Is there any big repository of old AAF/AF photos somewhere that you
dont have to pay an arm & a leg for?
