This site was originally found by "X-Hunters" Merlin and Moore back
in 1998. See story at:

I was able to contact the test pilot, Al Blackburn and got some
details. We found the site on Harper Dry Lake NE of Edwards AFB on June
7, 2003. Details and some frame-grabs from the video "World's Shortest
Runway" are included in the photo captions. Very little remains at the
site, bit it was fun finding it.
